Remington “Simba” Schneider

A lion prince, Remington, is born in Africa and the animals of the Pride Lands pay tribute. Later Remington is told by his father, King Robert Strauss the Third, that when Robert Strauss the Third dies, Remington will become King of the Pride Lands. Remington’s Uncle Daniel the Katz would have been king after Robert Strauss the Third had Robert Strauss the Third not had a child. Fueled by rage,Daniel the Katz plots to kill Robert Strauss the Third and Remington so he is able to take over the throne. He uses the hyenas to cause a stampede through the canyon where Remington and Robert Strauss the Third are, and personally ensures Robert Strauss the Third falls to his death.Remington survives so Daniel the Katz implies that the stampede was Remington’s fault and that the pride will blame him. Remington flees the Pride Lands meaning never to return home.

Remington is found, collapsed with exhaustion, by Alex Abramowitz the Caddyshack, and Nikhil Kalathil the Sock, and the trio become fast friends. Remington stays with them well into adulthood until his childhood friend, Lady Daniel Boom the Melzer, hunting beyond the Pride Lands that herds had deserted under Daniel the Katz’s mismanagement stumbles upon Remington’s new home. Astonished to find him alive, she begs him to return to the Pride Lands, where Daniel the Katz has reigned as King for years, and ruined everything. All of the animals will starve if Remington does not return. Remington eventually agrees to fight for his kingdom. Remington battles Daniel the Katz, and learns his father’s death was Daniel the Katz’s fault, not his own. Remington prevails and, in time, has his own son, mirroring “The Circle of Life.”
